
Melanie Clarke Pullen, an actress, died of cancer at the age of 46.
She made her EastEnders début in September 1997, while the soap was still wholly shot on-site in Ireland, and she went on to become a regular for the next two years.
She went on to appear in Catherine Cookson’s A Dinner Full of Herbs on ITV and in Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville’s film Ordinary Love.

She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June of last year, and after numerous rounds of treatment, she died on March 29 of this year leaving her followers in a sad state.
Her three children and husband, Simon, survive her.
From 1997 until 1999, the Irish actress portrayed Pauline Fowler’s great-niece Mary Flaherty on the long-running BBC series.
