
Julius Holt was a former Arizona football player and a community activist who died on April 3, 2022.
He was a youth football coach and the commissioner as well.
Holt had 135 tackles for the Wildcats, tried out for the USFL after college but never played.
Holt was employed by Livengood in 1997 as an academic counselor and tutoring director.
He maintained this position until 2006 to become the director of counseling at a Casa Grande alternative high school.
Holt once enrolled to the University of Arizona as an adult and earned both an undergraduate and a master’s degree.
He later worked for Child Protective Services as well as in a group home.
He served on an anti-gang task team and was a participant in the Tucson Urban League’s Second Chance Program.
Now fans have been wondering how one of Arizona’s greats died.

Holt is survived by his wife Lisa Holt.
