
Christopher Julius Rock (born February 7, 1965) is an actor, writer, producer, and film director from the United States.
In the early 1990s, Rock rose to notoriety as a cast member of Saturday Night Live after working as a stand-up comedian and acting in supporting roles in films.
Down to Earth (2001), Head of State (2003), The Longest Yard (2005), the Madagascar film series (2005–2012), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), Top Five (2014), and a series of HBO stand-up specials were among his major roles.
Everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009), a sitcom based on his early life, he created, scripted, and narrated. In 2020, he starred in the fourth season of the FX anthology series Fargo, a black comedy–crime drama.
