Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has died. He died at the age of 50, leaving behind his wife, Alison Hawkins, and his three beautiful children.
His death was announced by Foot Fighters via a Twitter post.
“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever,” the band said in the tweet.
“Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time,” it added.
Taylor and Alison Hawkins were married for 16 years. They tied the knot in 2005 and have been blessed with three adorable children, two of which are reportedly teenagers.
Taylor Hawkins is the father of Oliver Shane Hawkins, Everleigh Hawkins and Annabelle Hawkins.
While alive, Taylor took his family life seriously despite his busy schedule. He would go on vacations and share intimate moments with them during his free period.
He even trolls his kids during media rounds.
During a 2017 interview on Australia’s 60 Minutes with Foo Fighters member Dave Grohl, Hawkins joked about his children, saying: “They trash the backstage much worse than we ever did.
He added: “They have their own little cliques. It’s funny. They have their own little world.”
In 2020, Taylor paid featured his daughter Annabelle in his Middle Child music video.
The video which has nearly 200k views sees Taylor transporting his daughter Annabelle to a luscious fantasy world in order to escape the increasing madness of modern life.
In the clip the pair are seen dancing on clouds, roasting marshmallows and riding unicorns.
