Sergey Viktorovich Chemezov is the CEO of Rostec Corporation.
The former KGB operative and high-ranking general was born on August 20 , 1952.
Chemezov graduated with honours from the Baikal State University of Economics and Law in 1975 and subsequently attended the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
Chemezov holds a degree in economics and is a full member of the Military Academy.
He befriended Vladimir Putin in the 1980s while both were stationed in East Germany.
Putin nominated him CEO of Rostec in 2007. Chemezov became wealthy when Putin was elected President of Russia.
