Cora Faith Walker was a 37-year-old American politician who died lately.

She graduated from St. John’s University’s School of Law in 1946. She ran for the New York State Senate in 1958 and 1964.

From 1976 to 1999, she was the senior partner of Walker & Bailey, a law firm she co-founded with her son.

From January 2017 until July 2019, she served in the Missouri House of Representatives, representing Missouri’s 74th congressional district.

Walker fought tirelessly during the 2018 legislative session to ensure the approval of legislation establishing the Trauma-Informed Care for Children and Families Board.

Her legislation was included in Senate Bill 819, which was signed into law.

Walker was awarded by Beyond Housing at their 24:1 Initiative event that year for her work to encourage the adoption of trauma-informed treatment programmes.
