One of Ghana’s influential dancehall icons Buddaman bounces back after a long hiatus with a new single.
The new single, titled Gyal Deceiving, hits at slay queens who use absurd schemes and excuses to squeeze cash out of men and refuse to show up.
The new single, which is a dancehall banger, comes with some controversial lyrics, considering the fact that it might not go down well with slay queens in this bracket.
Explaining the concept behind the song, Buddaman exclusively told Ghanafuo.com that: “’Gyal Deceiving’ talks about ladies who refuse to turn up after taking money from guys.”
He adds: “And even when they turn up, they refuse to give to you. It’s about the new hot city girls.”
Buddaman is an influential figure in Ghana dancehall music.
He is the organizer behind the first dancehall clash between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, dubbed ‘Dancehall King and Queen’. Stonebwoy emerged as the winner. In 201, he organized the same show which crowned Epixode as King of Dancehall in Ghana.
Furthermore, he organized the ‘Night with Dancehall Stars’ – a controversial show which started the long-standing beef between Shatta Wale and Iwan.
He has been one of the major people paving way for dancehall stars to crossover, and this time, he has come to prove what dancehall is all about with Gyal Deceiving.
The song is available across all digital stores.
