American politician Robert Reynolds “Renny” Cushing has passed away. He passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the age of 69.
Renny Cushing was a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from the town of Hampton.
He was first elected in 1996 and was representing Rockingham District 21 at the time of his death.
Cushing, who graduated from Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, served several non-consecutive terms.

He died Monday, shortly after stepping down from his position as he was treated for stage 4 prostate cancer.
He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in late 2020, according to a statement by acting Democratic leader David Cote, D-Nashua.
“Renny never put himself first, and that was never more obvious than in his valiant fight against cancer,” the statement said.
“When anyone else would have put aside all but personal concerns, Renny never retreated from devotion to the progressive causes that had been his lifeblood, or from his service to the people of New Hampshire and the institution of the House,” it added.
