Steve Emt accident: What is the cause of Steve Emt’s disability?

Steve Emt was engaged in an automobile accident in 1995 that left him immobile from the waist down.

In March 1995, Emt went to a tavern with some friends to watch the UConn-Maryland NCAA Tournament game.

The drinks were on him after he was identified as a former UConn athlete.

The car flipped several times. Because Emt was not wearing a seat belt, he was thrown from the truck.

He had fractured most of his ribs, three times in his back, a head injury, and serious internal bleeding. In the crash, his spinal cord was severed.
