Sean Rice illness: What happened to the Dancing on Ice star?

Sean Rice was a former figure skater who rose to prominence after appearing on ITV’s Dancing On Ice. He was however born on 1972 in Ontario, Canada.

After retiring from professional skating, he went on to tour with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines until joining Dancing On Ice in 2011.

During his debut appearance, he was paired with TV presenter and journalist Angela Rippon, but he was knocked out early on. The next year, he was paired with British Olympic alpine ski racer Chemmy Alcott, who was eliminated as the 11th candidate.

The pair had eight dances on the show, including one to Pilot’s Magic, and had an average score of 20 out of 30.

He went on to win two Canadian pairs bronze medals with partner Jodeyne Higgins and four Canadian fours titles.

He died tragically putting lots of fans in distress. what actually happneded to the star is yet to be disclosed.

Rice was married to Jodeyne, a skating partner who also performed on Dancing On Ice.

He was survived by a daughter called Signey.
