
Dr. Bernadette Seick was an American Educator. She was one of Denver’s most loved.
Her community work in Denver began approximately 60 years ago at Manual High School.
Dr. Seick began her teaching career in 1966 at Manual High School in DPS. From 1970 through 1985, she served as a teacher and student counsellor at Place Middle School.
In 1985, Seick moved from the classroom to a position of leadership with Denver Public Schools, where she worked for four years as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at John F. Kennedy High School.
She went on to become Principal at JFK from 1989 to 1994, pushing her pupils to strive for excellence after graduation by setting a good example.
She has an unequalled educational background in Denver, having worked as a teacher, principal, athletic director, assistant superintendent, and superintendent before retiring in 2001.
She died at the age of 77.
