
Babatunde Ayodeji Ogunnaike was a Nigerian-born American chemical engineer and the William L. Friend Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Delaware.
He has been a professor of the university for more than 25 years.
On March 26, 1956, Ogunnaike was born. He was raised in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with First Class Honors from the University of Lagos in 1976.
In 1982, he began his academic career as a lecturer at the University of Lagos‘ Department of Chemical Engineering, eventually rising to the position of senior lecturer and eventually, associate professor of chemical engineering.
He died at the age of 65.
