Gabriel Bach was a German-born Israeli jurist.

He served as a Supreme Court judge and as the deputy prosecutor in the Adolf Eichmann trial.

Bach’s family relocated to Jerusalem and at the age of 16, he joined the pre-state Haganah military group. He eventually proceeded to London to study at University College London.

He returned to Israel where he began his public legal career.

His career spanned 46 years, including 31 years in the Military Advocate General’s Corps and the State Prosecutor’s Office, 13 of which he served as State Prosecutor, and 15 years on the Supreme Court.

Bach died at the age of 94.

In 1953, Bach began working in the State Prosecutor’s Office.

His first case was the Kasztner libel trial of which Rudolf Kasztner was accused of collaborating with the Nazis in his native Hungary during the Holocaust.
