American entrepreneur, Jeff James Godfrey is the owner of Pack A Punch cleaning services; a pressure washing company in neighboring Caloundra, USA.
He caught the headlines for the wrong reasons after allegedly murdering his wife Vanessa at Pelican Waters Resort on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
The romantic reunion which cost $250-a-night turned bloody at the resort on Valentine’s Day to the astonishment of many people.
Staff from the resort paid a visit to the husband and wife’s room to check on their well-being and that was where they witnessed the unthinkable tragedy.
According to a spokeswoman for the Queensland Police Department: “Both the woman’s and the man’s bodies were in the room. Police were called and came shortly after the man was apprehended.
“A 50-year-old man was charged with murder (domestic violence felony) this morning”.
Godfrey was denied bail and will appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court soon.
