LaFountain says she began to feel unwell that night and he invited her to sleep with him on the bed that he was on, but he dozed off.
Only to find her the following day in a bloodied bedsheet and when he notified police.
After a medical examination, it was discovered she died from an acute overdose of fentanyl, promethazine, hydroxyzine, and alcohol.
