Ghanaian midfielder Alfred Duncan has made a bold move by joining Venezia FC in Serie A, driven by the club’s exciting project for the future. The 31-year-old has signed a contract that will see him at the club until the end of the 2025/2026 season, with an option for renewal.

Duncan expressed his enthusiasm for the project during an interview with Venezia media, stating, “I chose to come to Venezia FC because of the project that was presented to me by the club and the coach and I am really proud to be part of it. In past years I have been shown how it is never easy to play at the Penzo because of the energy of the fans. That’s why I ask to all of them to always support us because we will give everything to get to the goal.”

Having risen through the ranks at Inter, Duncan brings a wealth of Serie A experience to Venezia, with 304 appearances, 14 goals, and 17 assists to his name. He has previously played for clubs such as Livorno, Sampdoria, Sassuolo, Cagliari, and Fiorentina.

On the international stage, Duncan has represented Ghana 10 times and has also competed in the Conference League and Europa League qualifiers and finals. His decision to join Venezia comes after his contract with Fiorentina expired, where he had a successful season with two goals and five assists in 41 matches.

With Duncan now part of the Venezia squad, fans can look forward to seeing his skills and experience make a positive impact on the team as they strive for success in Serie A.
