Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has praised the team for their recent back-to-back victories in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic. Despite the wins, Agyemang-Badu acknowledged that there are still some areas that need improvement within the team.

Speaking to Joy Sports, Agyemang-Badu highlighted the need for better defensive structure, as pundits have criticized the team for conceding goals too easily. However, he also emphasized the positives, noting that the team’s ability to come back from half-time deficits in both games showcases their resilience.

Agyemang-Badu commended the coach for bringing in new players and believes that the team can build on their recent successes. He expressed optimism about the future of the Black Stars, stating, “You can’t even remember the last time we won two straight games, especially an away game. So, we can build on that.”

While acknowledging the existing lapses within the team, Agyemang-Badu expressed confidence in the coach’s experience and ability to address these issues. He urged fans to support the team as they strive for success in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

With the Black Stars currently second in Group I, Agyemang-Badu believes that the team has the potential to qualify for the World Cup and make Ghana proud on the global stage.
