American gymnastics superstar Simone Biles is gearing up for the Paris Olympics with a brand new Netflix documentary set to air.
The decorated athlete, who is one of the most successful gymnasts in history, had to navigate a challenging childhood in and out of foster care before rising to the top of her sport.
Biles, who hails from Columbus, Ohio, showed promise in gymnastics from a young age and began training seriously at the age of eight. By the time she was 16, she was competing on the international stage, and just three years later, she was representing Team USA at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where she clinched multiple gold medals.
The gymnast has an impressive collection of Olympic and World Championship medals, with a total of seven Olympic medals – four gold, one silver, and two bronze – all won at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Biles has also earned 30 World Championship medals, making her one of the most decorated gymnasts of all time.
In addition to her success in sports, Biles has also built a substantial net worth of $16 million through endorsements, sponsorships, and her athletic achievements. She recently signed with Gap’s Athleta brand, launching her own performance wear line aimed at inspiring young girls and women.
Biles, who got engaged to NFL star Jonathan Owens in 2022 and tied the knot in April 2023, is set to star in a new Netflix documentary titled “Simone Biles Rising.” The four-part series captures her journey back to the Olympics after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Games due to mental health concerns, showcasing the resilience and determination that have defined her career.
As fans eagerly await the Paris Olympics and the premiere of “Simone Biles Rising,” the gymnast’s story continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world.
