Vincent Sowah Odotei, a Board Member of Hearts of Oak, has revealed that the club is currently undergoing a detailed assessment of their performance from last season.
The Phobian Club narrowly escaped relegation with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bechem United on the final day of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. However, their struggles persisted as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi, Mr Odotei expressed that Hearts of Oak is analyzing their weaknesses as they gear up for the upcoming season. “We are constantly reviewing our performance, and with the expertise we have on the board, I am confident that we will come back stronger,” he said.
Mr Odotei further stated, “We will soon unveil our new signings. We are working diligently to make sure that we make the right decisions for the club. Hearts of Oak is a team that is accustomed to winning, so we will regroup and make the necessary adjustments to enhance our competitiveness for the next season.”
In the meantime, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2024/25 Ghana football season is set to kick off on September 6th. This news gives Hearts of Oak and all other clubs in the league ample time to prepare and strengthen their squads for the upcoming campaign.
Fans of the Phobian Club will undoubtedly be eager to see how the team responds to the challenges of the past season and the changes that are being implemented to improve their performance.
