Midfielder Solomon Adjei is thrilled after completing a move to Ghana Premier League champions Samartex. The attacking midfielder made the switch from Division One League side Okwawu United, signing a three-year deal with the Timber giants.

Adjei, who recently ended his spell with the Soccer Mountaineers, is looking forward to adding a new dimension to Samartex as they gear up to defend their title and represent Ghana in Africa. In an interview with the club’s media, Adjei expressed his joy at making the transition from the Division One League to the Ghana Premier League, describing it as a dream come true.

“It’s a dream come true to leap from the Division One League to join the Ghana Premier League Champions. Together with my other colleagues, we work hard to make the supporters happy,” Adjei said. The highly-rated midfielder has already joined his teammates for pre-season as they prepare for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

FC Samartex 1996 is set to take on Cameroonian champions Victoria United in the first round of the continental championship. Adjei is the fourth signing for the club in the transfer window, joining Isaac Baffoe, Akwasi Sarpong, and Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli.

Currently, Samartex is in the Eastern Region getting ready for the upcoming campaign. With Adjei’s addition to the team, fans are hopeful for another successful season for the Timber giants.
