Accra-based football club Hearts of Oak have officially announced the signing of Asamoah Boateng Afriyie from Nations FC. The 26-year-old forward has penned a three-year deal with the Phobian Club as they prepare for the 2024/25 Ghana football season.

In a statement released by the club, they expressed their excitement in welcoming Boateng Afriyie to the Hearts of Oak family. The club is eager to make history with their new signing and is looking forward to seeing him in action on the pitch.

It is reported that Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara recommended the acquisition of Boateng Afriyie to the club, impressed by his outstanding performances at Nations FC during the previous season. The decision to revamp the squad comes after a disappointing finish in the last campaign, where the team placed 14th on the league log.

Boateng Afriyie had an exceptional season with Nations FC, scoring 11 goals in 29 league appearances. He has already begun training with his new teammates, including Michael Mensah Awuah, who also made the switch from Nations FC.

The talented forward is set to make his debut for Hearts of Oak in the Democracy Cup clash against rivals Asante Kotoko on Wednesday, July 17 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Fans are eagerly anticipating his performance as the club aims for a better season ahead.
