Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire, the main financial backer of FC Samartex, has made a commitment to fully support the team’s players as they prepare for their maiden appearance in the prestigious CAF Champions League.
Following their victory in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, FC Samartex has earned the opportunity to represent Ghana in the 2024/25 edition of the Champions League. Dr. Nsenkyire, during a recent meeting at the team’s training camp in Safari Valley, Eastern Region, assured the players of his unwavering dedication to providing all the necessary resources for their success in the CAF competition.
“I am prepared to offer any support needed to ensure our success in the CAF Champions League,” Dr. Nsenkyire affirmed. He also stressed the importance of hard work and professionalism among the players, stating, “Where we are right now requires dedication and professionalism.”
In the upcoming preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, FC Samartex is set to face off against Victoria United FC of Cameroon in August. A victory in this round will see them progress to the next stage where they will meet either ASGNN of Niger or Raja Club Athletic of Morocco in September.
