Togbe Fiaya VI, a Senior Divisional Chief of Alavanyo, has issued a strong warning to his subjects against engaging in electoral violence. Speaking at his introduction ceremony in Alavanyo Kpeme, in the Volta Region, Togbe Fiaya VI emphasized the importance of upholding peace and abiding by the laws.

He urged the citizens of Alavanyo to promote peace before, during, and after the upcoming general elections, emphasizing the need for unity and development in the area. Togbe Fiaya VI, who is determined to maintain the current peace in Alavanyo, expressed his vision for the area to become one of the most developed in the world during his reign.

The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Hohoe, Worlanyo Tsekpo, also called on the youth to prioritize the development of the Alavanyo Traditional Area. He stressed the importance of working together with the chiefs to achieve progress and urged the youth to let go of the past and focus on the future development of the community.

The Alavanyo Traditional Authorities believe that continuous peace in the area will prompt the Ministry of Interior to ease the curfew imposed on the region. The curfew hours were recently renewed from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am in Alavanyo and Nkonya Townships, with a ban on carrying arms or offensive weapons in the area.

Overall, the message from Togbe Fiaya VI and other local leaders is clear – peace and unity are essential for the development and prosperity of the Alavanyo Traditional Area. By upholding these values and working together, the community can overcome challenges and strive towards a brighter future.
