The Ghana Premier League has recently concluded with FC Samartex emerging as the champions of the 2023/24 season. As the season wrapped up, three outstanding players have been shortlisted for the May/June Player of the Month award.
Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona, who finished as the top scorer of the season, is in the running for the Player of the Month award. He played six League games, scoring seven goals in 509 minutes of play. Alongside Amankona is Asante Kotoko’s striker Steven Mukwala, who scored four goals in four League matches. Rounding off the shortlist is Heart of Lions’ centre-back Ebenezer Annan, who scored seven goals in six League games and also secured a NASCO Man of the Match award.
The Ghana Football Association has announced that the winner of the Player of the Month award will receive a 43-inch NASCO Television set from ElectroLand Ghana Limited. The competition is tough, with each player showcasing their talent and determination on the field throughout the month of May and June.
