Dee Snider, the lead singer of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister, has been making headlines not just for his music, but also for his enduring love story with his wife, Suzette Snider. The couple met back in 1976 at a Twisted Sister show, long before the band achieved mainstream success in the 1980s.
Suzette, a fashion designer with a degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, played a pivotal role in the band’s career. She not only designed iconic costumes and the band’s logo but she also designed their Long Island home.
In a 2018 Instagram post, Suzette expressed her gratitude for Dee, saying, “42 years ago I met the man of my dreams in a bar. Who knew he would turn out to be my life.”
Dee and Suzette tied the knot in 1981 and have since welcomed four children together: Jesse, Shane, Cody, and Cheyenne.
Their oldest child, Jesse, is a talented graphic novel creator who has worked with well-known comic book publishers like Marvel Comics and Disney. Shane, born in 1988, is a stand-up comedian and visual artist. Cody, born in 1989, is a director and screenwriter with his own investigative talk show podcast. Meanwhile, Cheyenne, the youngest Snider, is a fashion designer who founded her own clothing line called Havoc.
The family’s dynamic was showcased in the reality show Growing Up Twisted on A&E in 2010, giving fans a glimpse into their lives on Long Island. Dee and Suzette are also proud grandparents to five children, further solidifying their legacy as a close-knit and creative family.
Despite their rockstar lifestyle and busy careers, Dee and Suzette have maintained a strong and loving relationship, celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in 2021.
