Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, the former Administrative Manager of Asante Kotoko, has shed some light on his departure from the club after four years of dedicated service.
Dispelling rumors of resignation, Dasoberi clarified that he had actually sought permission from Manhyia to explore a new opportunity with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a Professional Football Manager.
In an interview with Peace FM, Dasoberi expressed his desire for a different term to describe his departure, stating, “I would have preferred if you used a different word because I can’t resign from the work Otumfuo has entrusted me with.” He made it clear that he had asked for permission to take up a new role rather than resigning from his position.
Dasoberi went on to explain that his new role with CAF would not only benefit Asante Kotoko but also contribute to the development of Ghanaian football. He said, “The work I am going to do will bring many benefits to Kotoko and Ghana.” Dasoberi also reassured fans that his move was not permanent, adding, “One day, I will come back.”
