Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has taken full responsibility for the club’s disappointing performance in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
In an interview with the club’s media team, Coach Ogum acknowledged that the season was unpleasant and admitted that he was to blame.
“Our season was unpleasant, and I take the blame,” said Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Despite their best efforts, Asante Kotoko failed to secure the league title and ended up finishing in 6th place. In addition to missing out on the league title, the Porcupine Warriors were also unable to clinch the MTN FA Cup, leaving the club without any silverware for the season.
With the season now behind them, Asante Kotoko will be looking to regroup and come back stronger in the upcoming season.
Coach Ogum’s willingness to take responsibility for the team’s performance is a positive step towards identifying areas for improvement and working towards a more successful campaign in the future.
Fans of the club will be eagerly awaiting the start of the new season to see how Asante Kotoko will bounce back from their disappointing run.
