Former Ghanaian footballer, Laryea Kingston, has shared his thoughts on the recent success of the Black Stars under the leadership of head coach Otto Addo.

Following the team’s victories over Mali and Central African Republic, Kingston believes that Addo has brought hope to Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.

In an interview with GTV Sports Plus, Kingston emphasized the importance of Addo stamping his authority on the team. While praising the coach for his tactics and strategy, Kingston stressed the need for Addo to convey a clear message to the players about the approach they must take in upcoming games.

“We should not just be excited about the two wins, but rather focus on the future games,” Kingston stated. “The players are talented and know how to play football, but it is essential for Otto Addo to assert his influence and guide them towards success.”

With no more qualifiers scheduled until March 2025, Kingston believes that this break provides an opportunity for Addo to fine-tune the team and instill his philosophy.
