The Scottish club Dundee United has bid farewell to Mathew Cudjoe after his two and a half year stint with the team. The club announced on Tuesday that the talented Ghanaian player will be leaving Tannadice to pursue other career opportunities.

In a statement, Dundee United said, “We can confirm Mathew Cudjoe has decided to end his Tannadice career. The club made an offer reflecting our vision for Mathew in both financial and footballing terms; however, the Ghanaian has chosen to pursue his career elsewhere. Since his arrival in November 2021, he has made 46 appearances in Tangerine, scoring five goals.”

Cudjoe had hoped to secure an improved contract with Dundee United after playing a key role in the team’s promotion to the top flight from the Championship. During his time with the club, he scored four goals in 22 appearances.

The young Ghanaian player had previously played for Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities before making the move to Europe to further his career. Despite his departure from Dundee United, Cudjoe’s talent and potential are undeniable, and many fans will be eager to see where his career takes him next.
