TV star Michelle Visage, known for her iconic role as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, is a beloved figure in the world of entertainment. However, many fans are curious about the person behind the persona and who Michelle’s husband, David Case, really is.
Before she became a household name on Drag Race, Michelle was a member of popular music groups like Seduction and The S.O.U.L.S.Y.S.T.E.M. She also co-hosted a show with RuPaul himself back in the ’80s when the two first crossed paths in New York City’s vibrant ballroom scene.
In 2011, Michelle joined RuPaul’s Drag Race as a guest judge and later became a permanent fixture on the show. Her talent and charisma as a judge have earned her three Primetime Emmy Awards, and she has also produced various spinoffs of the hit series.
Aside from her successful TV career, Michelle is also a family woman. She is married to author and screenwriter David Case, who hails from Gunnison, Colorado, and shares Michelle’s love for storytelling and creativity. David is known by his pen name, Jax Spenser, and has written a popular sci-fi novel series called HIDE.
The couple tied the knot in 1997 and recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary. Michelle and David have two children, Lillie and Lola, whom they both love and support unconditionally. Lillie, their eldest, identifies as queer and is in the process of transitioning, a journey that Michelle has openly embraced and championed.
In addition to his writing career, David also serves as the business manager of Michelle’s company, House of Visage, LLC. He recently founded KlickSpeed, an athletic training aid, and is currently enrolled in a screenwriting program at UCLA Extension.
As Michelle continues to shine on RuPaul’s Drag Race and other projects, her fans can’t get enough of her infectious energy and bold personality. And with David by her side, this power couple is sure to conquer whatever challenges come their way while celebrating love, family, and authenticity.
