English-born Ghanaian youngster, Daniel Adu-Adjei, is on cloud nine after putting pen to paper on a long-term contract with Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth. The exciting news was officially announced by the club on Wednesday, the 5th of June, 2024.
Adu-Adjei had a breakout season during the 2023/24 campaign, showcasing his talent as a prolific striker by notching an impressive 25 goals in just 25 appearances for the Cherries’ development squad across various competitions. His stellar performances did not go unnoticed, leading to a loan spell at Leyton Orient, where he netted his first EFL goal in a 3-1 League One victory over Shrewsbury Town in April.
Expressing his elation at the new deal, Adu-Adjei credited his success to God, his family, and all the coaches who have guided him along the way. He expressed gratitude for the recognition he received after being named academy player of the year and scoring his debut EFL goal.
