Ghanaian reggae dancehall artist, Stonebwoy, has expressed his gratitude to his fans after winning the Artiste of the Year award at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
The two-time winner took to Twitter to thank his supporters for their unwavering support and recognition of his hard work.
Before the awards ceremony, there was heated debate among netizens about who should win the prestigious award, with fans of Stonebwoy and King Promise going head to head in their arguments. However, Stonebwoy emerged victorious and dedicated the award to all those who resonate with his journey of hard work and determination.
In a tweet, Stonebwoy stated, “Our Deeds Are Speaking Volumes. For those Who trust that my hustle is a true reflection of their own individual stories Here is a proof that you’re a winner.” He also emphasized that the award is a testament to his talent and urged others to be inspired by his achievement.
Stonebwoy’s success didn’t stop with the Artiste of the Year award as he also scooped five other accolades at the 25th TGMA.
He was named the International Collaboration of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album/EP of the Year, making him the most decorated artist of the night.
This marks Stonebwoy’s second win of the Artiste of the Year award, having first clinched it in 2015. He competed with other top artists such as Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, and Nacee for the coveted award, solidifying his position as one of the leading talents in the Ghanaian music industry.
