Renowned media mogul, Rupert Murdoch, has exchanged vows for the fifth time in a lavish ceremony at his Californian vineyard.
The 93-year-old tied the knot with his new wife, Elena Zhukova, 67, a retired Russian biologist, in a star-studded affair over the weekend.
Speculations about Mr. Murdoch’s relationship with Ms. Zhukova arose shortly after his engagement to former police chaplain Ann Lesley Smith was abruptly called off in April 2023.
The Australian-born businessman, who has six children, holds the position of chairman emeritus of News Corporation, the parent company of popular media outlets like Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, the Sun, and the Times.
Having relinquished his role as chairman of Fox and News Corp to his son Lachlan last year, Mr. Murdoch continues to make waves in the media industry.
Reports indicate that the couple first crossed paths at a party hosted by one of Mr. Murdoch’s ex-wives, Chinese entrepreneur Wendi Deng.
Prior to his union with Ms. Zhukova, Mr. Murdoch was married to Australian flight attendant Patricia Booker, Scottish journalist Anna Mann, and American model and actress Jerry Hall.
Notably, Ms. Zhukova was previously married to Russian oil magnate Alexander Zhukov, and their daughter, Dasha, is a prominent socialite and businesswoman who was formerly married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
With a career spanning decades, Rupert Murdoch began his journey in the media industry in Australia during the 1950s, eventually acquiring leading newspapers like the News of the World and the Sun in the UK in 1969.
