Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn is showing incredible strength and resilience after a devastating attack by her actor ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Pasqual.
Just three days after being granted a temporary restraining order against Pasqual, Shehorn was viciously stabbed over 20 times in her Los Angeles home. Pasqual then fled the scene, leaving Shehorn for dead before attempting to escape to Mexico.
Despite the horrific ordeal, Shehorn, who has over 100 makeup and special effects credits to her name, is making progress in her recovery.
She has been transferred out of the ICU and has been able to talk, eat, and even joke with friends. A GoFundMe organized for her has raised nearly $100,000 to support her healing journey.
Friends and family describe Shehorn as a remarkable person full of warmth, kindness, and love. She is a member of the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild and is known for her work on various films and TV shows.
Shehorn’s ex-boyfriend, Pasqual, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, burglary, and injuring a spouse, among other charges.
The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that Pasqual will be extradited back to LA as they continue their investigation into this heinous act of domestic violence.
District Attorney George Gascón expressed his sympathies for Shehorn and emphasized the importance of holding the perpetrator accountable for his actions.
