Torgbui Badu IV, also known as Mr. Paul Dogboe, the father of boxing sensation Isaac Dogboe, has called on Ewe indigenes to uphold peace and obey the law in all the places they reside.

Speaking as the President of the Youth Council of the International Ewe Council (IEC), Torgbui Badu IV emphasized the importance of honesty, integrity, and communal living among Ewe people. He urged Ewe individuals to contribute to national development and respect the laws of the countries they find themselves in.

Commending Ewe individuals in Western Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and the Diaspora for their peaceful conduct, Torgbui Badu IV specifically highlighted the peaceful behavior of Ewe compatriots in Togo’s National Assembly elections. He expressed confidence that Ewe people in Ghana will similarly demonstrate civility in the upcoming December elections.

As a retired British military officer, Torgbui Badu IV cautioned against influences that promote separatist and secessionist movements, as well as civil unrest. He emphasized the peaceful nature of Ewe people and the need to protect this inherent quality.

Discussing his new role as the President of the Youth Council of the IEC, Torgbui Badu IV shared plans to empower and employ Ewe youth through various programs. The International Ewe Council, established three years ago, seeks to unite Ewe people across different countries and promote unity, culture, and societal development.

The Council, chaired by Torgbui Edjorssa of Togo, recently held its inaugural annual general meeting in the Togolese capital. Plans are underway for Accra to host this year’s annual general meeting, continuing the efforts to strengthen the Ewe community worldwide.
