Karela United Boost Survival Hopes with Win Over Nsoatreman FC

Karela United have taken a big step towards securing their Ghana Premier League status with a crucial 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman FC on Sunday at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.

The Pride and Passion lads, who started the day in the 14th position, have now climbed to 12th on the league log with 40 points after the match week 31 clash. Nsoatreman, on the other hand, have dropped to sixth place with 45 points, one spot below their starting position at fifth.

The home side took the lead through Welbeck Takyi in the 16th minute, heading into halftime with the advantage. However, Nsoatreman equalized ten minutes into the second half with Collins Kudjoe finding the back of the net, much to the disappointment of the home crowd.

Karela United wasted no time in regaining their lead, with captain Mohammed Fatawu scoring the winning goal in the 63rd minute – just eight minutes after conceding the equalizer.

With only three games left in the season, Karela United are looking increasingly likely to secure their place in the Ghana Premier League for next season. This win has certainly boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation and they will be aiming to finish the season on a high note.
