Al Ahly crowned champions of Africa for record-extending 12th title

Al Ahly of Egypt clinched the prestigious TotalEnergies CAF Champions League title once again after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Esperance Sportive de Tunis at the Cairo International Stadium.

The Egyptian giants secured their 12th title in the competition, further solidifying their status as Africa’s football club kings.

In a tightly contested final, Al Ahly’s lone goal came from an own goal by Roger Aholou early in the match. Despite both teams creating chances, solid defense from both sides kept the scoreline tight throughout the game.
