Ghanaian international and Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey, is set to leave the Gunners this summer, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano revealed on the JD Football Show on YouTube that Arsenal has already identified potential replacements for the 30-year-old midfielder. The Gunners are considering Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz and Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi as options to fill the void left by Partey’s departure.

Partey’s future at Arsenal has been uncertain in recent months due to his recurring injuries, which have limited his playing time for the club. With just a year left on his contract, Arsenal has decided not to offer him a new deal.

During the last Premier League season, Partey struggled with injuries and only made 14 appearances for the Gunners, starting nine of them. Despite his limited playing time, he has managed to score five goals in a total of 95 appearances for Arsenal since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2020 for a fee of £45 million.

Last summer, the Ghanaian midfielder was linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, but the transfer fell through. However, recent reports suggest that Partey could be on the move to Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window.

As Arsenal prepares for life without Thomas Partey, fans will be eagerly waiting to see how the club plans to replace the influential midfielder and strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
