Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, recently responded to an invitation from the Gborbu Wulomo to verify a document circulating online that claims he and his estranged wife, Fella Makafui, purchased land belonging to the Gadangbe state.
The invitation to the rapper followed Fella Makafui’s earlier visit to the office of the Gborbu Wulomo, where they were both invited by the Overlord of the Gadangme State over the alleged purchase of land belonging to the Nungua chief.
Although Medikal did not appear alongside his wife initially, as confirmed by radio personality Caleb Nii Boye, he eventually honored the invitation after Fella Makafui’s visit. Medikal was requested to return with the requested documents on Tuesday.
The controversy stemmed from a viral land document on social media bearing the names of the couple, suggesting they had acquired the land. The Gborbu Wulomo emphasized the need for Medikal and Fella to present all necessary documentation to substantiate their purchase.
Amidst their marital issues, including disagreements over their current residence, Medikal maintains sole financial responsibility for the property but included Fella’s name for their daughter’s welfare. However, Fella intends to challenge this in court.
The couple, who are in the process of legally finalizing their divorce, are caught in a public spat that has attracted significant attention and raised questions about their shared assets.
