Former President, John Dramani Mahama has once again shown his unwavering support for Real Tamale United (RTU) by donating a generous sum of one hundred thousand Ghana cedis to the struggling football club.

The donation came after a meeting between Mahama and the club’s management in Accra on Wednesday. During the meeting, the management updated Mahama on the current state of the club and their efforts to revive its former glory.

Mahama, who is also the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed his satisfaction with the courtesy call and fondly recalled his past collaborations with management teams to strengthen RTU’s position in Ghanaian football.

The Public Relations Officer of the club disclosed that Mahama pledged his full support to the current management in their mission to restructure RTU and ensure its continued success in the football industry.

Following his pledge, Mahama made the significant donation of one hundred thousand cedis to the club. The CEO of RTU, Zakaria Safianu, expressed his appreciation to Mahama for the generous contribution, emphasizing its importance in helping the club fulfill its upcoming matches.

RTU is currently struggling at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with 28 points from 29 games, including a game in hand. This donation from Mahama will undoubtedly provide much-needed support to the club as they strive to improve their standing in the league.
