The Korase M/A Basic School in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region has been facing challenges with providing quality education due to a lack of basic academic resources. Students at the school are often seen wearing worn-out uniforms and walking barefoot to the already deteriorating school premises.
Amponsah Efah Pharmaceuticals has stepped in to support the school by renovating the school building and providing the students with much-needed learning materials. The goal is to enhance the quality of education and create a conducive learning environment for the pupils.
Located in a secluded area of the Ejisu Municipality, the Korase M/A Basic School caters to a student population of two hundred and eighty-six across Kindergarten, primary, and junior high levels. However, the school buildings are in a state of disrepair, making it challenging for students to focus on their studies.
The Headmaster, Evans Annan, expressed gratitude for the intervention from Amponsah Efah Pharmaceuticals, stating, “The state of the school was beyond bad. Teachers have to watch kids walk miles to be here without any academic material. The assistance from Amponsah Efah Pharmaceuticals came at the most critical point.”
As part of their corporate social responsibility, Amponsah Efah Pharmaceuticals has donated various teaching and learning materials to the school, including a printer, exercise books, school uniforms, sporting jerseys, and footwear. They have also renovated dilapidated areas of the school, including the headmaster’s office, to create a more conducive learning environment.

The gesture was well-received by the school community, with the headmaster appreciating the support to aid teaching and learning at Korase M/A Basic School.
