Ghana’s Daniel Afriyie Barnieh plays key role in FC Zurich’s victory over Winterthur

Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh stole the show in a recent Swiss Super League match as he helped FC Zurich secure a 3-1 win over Winterthur with a stellar performance.

The game started off with Winterthur taking the lead in the 16th minute, but FC Zurich quickly responded with Armstrong Oko-Flex scoring to level the score. Nikola Katic then netted another goal for FC Zurich, extending their lead with a header from Marc Hornschuh’s pass.

Barnieh, who came on as a substitute in the 64th minute, wasted no time in making his mark on the game with a crucial assist to help his team secure the victory. Despite Winterthur having more possession and shots, FC Zurich’s clinical finishing ultimately sealed the win.

This assist adds to Barnieh’s impressive performance this season, having played in 33 games, scoring two goals, and providing four assists in the Swiss Super League campaign. The young Ghanaian forward is definitely a player to watch out for in the future.
