Karela United head coach, Abukari Damba, has acknowledged that his team had to work hard for their recent victory over Nations FC.
The former Anyinase-based team secured a narrow 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Giyasu Ibrahim at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.
Despite the win, Damba praised Nations FC for giving his team a tough challenge during the match. He commended his players for showing great character and resilience against a difficult opponent.
“Nations FC are a quality team with a lot of momentum in the league. They really tested us and gave us a hard time, but my players showed determination and stood up to the challenge,” Damba said after the game.
Karela United’s win has lifted them to twelfth place on the Premier League table with 27 points. They have five games left in the season to climb further up the standings.
Their next match will be against Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, where they will be looking to continue their positive momentum and secure another important victory.
