Asante Kotoko striker, Steven Mukwala, has set his sights on clinching the top scorer award in this season’s Ghana Premier League.

The Uganda international recently notched his 11th goal of the campaign against Legon Cities, putting him just one goal behind the current leader, Stephen Amankona.

Mukwala, who has already matched his goal tally from the previous season, is determined to surpass Amankona in the final stretch of the season with only five games remaining. “As a striker, if you want to see you are improving, you have to fight and at least equal the number you scored last season or go beyond that,” he stated in an interview with the club’s media.

The race for the top scorer award will intensify as Amankona faces Hearts of Oak before a crucial clash against Asante Kotoko. Mukwala remains focused on his goal and sees the Golden Boot accolade as a significant motivation for him to strive for excellence on the field.
