Ghanaian rapper Strongman has shared some behind-the-scenes details about the making of his hit track ‘Transformer’. In an interview on The Afternoon Show with Anita Akuffo, the award-winning artist revealed that he had to make some sacrifices before the release of the song in 2017.

Strongman disclosed that he fasted for three days and sought spiritual guidance because it was his debut release under SarkCess Music label.

The rapper expressed that he wanted ‘Transformer’ to be a massive success, so he turned to fasting and prayer for divine intervention.

“I fasted for three days before releasing Transformer. From 6 am to 6 pm, it wasn’t easy. After the fasting, we released it and it was everywhere. The fasting worked,” Strongman recalled during the interview.

The results of the song were indeed overwhelming, and Strongman admitted that the fasting had a significant impact on the success of ‘Transformer’. However, he mentioned that he hasn’t repeated a similar fasting ritual for any other song release, emphasizing that it was a challenging experience.

Recently, Strongman released his latest EP titled ‘God & Rap’, which features collaborations with talented artists like King Paluta, Kweku Darlington, Dope Nation, and Sevenkizs. The seven-track EP showcases Strongman’s versatility as a rapper and has been well received by fans and the music industry.
