A recent windstorm in Atwima Mim has left devastation in its wake, with over 1000 birds killed and numerous kiosks and other structures destroyed. The storm also caused damage to maize and plantain farms in the area, leaving the community reeling.

The aftermath of the storm saw roofing sheets and electrical wires scattered throughout the community, marking the destructive path of the natural disaster. The TV3 news team visited the affected area and discovered that the heavy downpour was the root cause of the incident.

The windstorm had a particularly devastating impact on Mfum Farms, where an automated cage worth $720,000 was destroyed, along with a chicken shade housing 10,000 laying birds. Nana Akwasi Mfum, the CEO of Mfum Farms, is now appealing for support to help revive the farm and mitigate the extensive damage caused by the storm.

John Oppong Boateng, a worker and resident affected by the disaster, also voiced his concerns about the future of the farm. Without immediate support, the farm may be forced to shut down, leaving many in the community without jobs.
