Former Ghana U-20 midfielder Karimu Mahamud has officially signed with Latvian top-flight club FK Metta.

The 20-year-old made the switch from UAE side Al-Taawon on a free transfer and has wasted no time in getting on the pitch for his new team.

Mahamud, known for his experience and skills in the midfield, is set to bolster Metta’s squad as they aim to climb the ranks in the 2024 Latvian Virsliga. Currently sitting in 8th place with 7 points after seven games, the club is gearing up to face off against second-placed Riga in their next match at the Daugava Stadium.

Managed by Latvian coach Andris Riherts, FK Metta is optimistic about the impact Mahamud will have on the team’s performance this season. The management team believes that his addition will provide a much-needed boost to their campaign goals.

Excited about the new chapter in his career, Mahamud is eager to make a positive contribution to his new club and help them achieve success on the pitch. With his drive and determination, the young midfielder is ready to take on the challenge and make a name for himself in Latvian football.
