Coach Stephen Frimpong Manso of Bibiani Gold Stars has attributed the team’s recent loss to Accra Lions to the physical condition of his players.
The match, which took place during Week 26, saw Accra Lions emerging victorious with a score of 2-0.
In a post-match interview, Coach Frimpong Manso revealed that his players were not in the best shape physically as they had played multiple games in a short period of time. He explained that the team struggled to press and prevent their opponents from attacking from the back, ultimately leading to their defeat.
“It was a very difficult game. What we needed to do today was to prevent them from attacking from the back. We needed to press them and it was difficult. Travelling to Accra and playing two games in a week made it very challenging, and we were not in a good physical position to deal with them,” Coach Frimpong Manso said.
Despite the loss, Coach Frimpong Manso assured fans that the team would work hard to secure a victory in their next match. Fans can expect Bibiani Gold Stars to bounce back stronger and more prepared in their upcoming games.
