Hearts of Oak Assistant Coach Lauds Team’s Performance in Victory over Karela United
Accra Hearts of Oak’s assistant coach, Abdul Rahim Bashiru, had nothing but praise for the team following their impressive 3-1 win against Karela United. Despite conceding an early goal, the “Phobians” showed resilience and dominance throughout the game, eventually sealing the victory at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Bashiru commended the players for executing the game plan perfectly and for their determination after falling behind early in the match. “It was a nice feeling the way the boys played we have to congratulate them they really played so well,” he said in an interview with StarTimes post-match. “Because we dominated since the blow of the whistle although Karela took us by surprise to take the lead but we managed they played according to the plan. So I am happy for them and the good result,” he added.
The goals from Hamza Issah, who scored twice, and Salim Adams in the 64th minute secured the crucial win for Hearts of Oak. The victory propels the team to 9th place on the Premier League log with 35 points from 26 games.
Hearts of Oak will now shift their focus to their next challenge as they prepare to face Legon Cities away on match week 27. The team will be looking to build on this victory and continue their climb up the league standings.
