Forget about winning the Premier League – Karim Zito tells Asante Kotoko supporters

Dreams FC head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, had a few words of advice for Asante Kotoko supporters after his team’s impressive 2-0 victory over the Porcupine Warriors. The win came as a blow to Kotoko, who have been struggling in the Ghana Premier League this season with seven losses in nine games.

Zito, who previously coached Kotoko, urged fans to be more realistic in their expectations for the team moving forward. Instead of focusing solely on vocal support, he stressed the importance of patience and focus during this challenging period.

“Our supporters need to understand the reality of the situation. Shouting and hooting will not solve the team’s problems. What is needed is patience and focus,” Zito said in a heartfelt plea to Kotoko fans.

Sylvester Simba and Derrick Atta Agyei were the goal scorers for Dreams FC in the match that left Kotoko in 11th place on the league table with just 33 points. The team is currently trailing leaders Samartex by a significant 16-point margin, making it a difficult uphill battle for the former champions.

Kotoko’s next league fixture is set to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday, April 20th, against FC Samartex 1996. It will be a crucial game for the struggling team as they look to turn their season around and bounce back from a series of disappointing results in the league and cup competitions.
